Clare Spence

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

My background

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am also a Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Practitioner (EMDR) and a member of the EMDR Association UK and Ireland.

I originally qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1993 and worked for the NHS in a variety of community based settings. During this time I have worked with and treated adults suffering from a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Whilst running my private practice in Godalming and Guildford, I also work for the NHS providing CBT and EMDR therapy sessions.  I receive regular supervision and attend training courses to ensure my practice is up to date.

My aim is to help people overcome difficulties and to teach you the skills and techniques that can be used to ensure long term wellbeing.
